One of the most exciting things about building with AI is that it empowers anyone to be a builder.
Not only that, but you can build prototypes faster than ever. So, this summer, I decided to take that to the next level. Each week, I’ve been co-hosting AI Power Hours with friends via Build First, where we build something from zero to MVP in just 60 minutes flat. This summer, we’ve built:
A Super Mario-inspired side-scrolling game with Sara Chipps
A community management software for Neighborhood News with Julia Gitis
A multi-agent model for video games with Meghan Heintz
I'll be sharing more about the ins and outs of what we built and how we did it in the weeks ahead. But until then, I'd like to invite you to tune in to our fall series of AI Power Hours this September.

Here are the AI Power Hours in store this September.
Got an idea you’ve always wanted to build? Shoot me a note if you’d like co-host an AI Power Hour together. What will you Build First?
In this back-to-school themed AI Power Hour, we’ll play with the ElevenLabs new music generator API to turn kids’ back-to-school stories into songs. I’ll be co-hosting with Matt Hamilton, founder of Toy Boat, an app that helps grandparents connect with their grandkids.
September 5 (3-4 p.m. ET) - Zoom
RSVP here
As freelancers, it can be really hard to manage all the backend processes of managing client relationships. In this Power Hour with AI Transformation Specialist and developer Saadiq Rodgers-King, we’ll use Claude Code and Stripe’s API to build an AI-powered system to manage your client relationships and invoices.
September 11 (3-4 p.m. ET) - Zoom
RSVP here
One of the best ways to demonstrate AI fluency is to practice what you preach. I'm so excited to collaborate with Jasmine Shells, CEO of Five to Nine, to build the website for her new AI consulting business live for this AI Power Hour. Drawing from her current client decks, we’ll use Replit to build her business website from 0 to MVP in just 60 minutes.
September 16 (7-8 p.m. ET) - Zoom
RSVP here
Anyone who's worked in B2B SaaS is likely familiar with the quirks and limitations of the enterprise-level CRM systems. One of the things that cutting-edge developers are doing is building their own CRM's from scratch, using large language models to parse the data that matters to you. In this session, AI Consultant and coach Leon Coe will build a starter CRM in just 1 hour using Claude Code.
September 18 (3-4 p.m. ET) - Zoom
RSVP here
AI is reshaping how we experience software, with audio-first interfaces more accessible than ever. In this session, I’ll work with co-host Aaron Wright, the CEO of Tribute Labs, to build an audio-first app from 0 to MVP in just 60 minutes.
September 24 (3-4 p.m. ET) - Zoom
